We just finished reading chapter four in the book Mr. Poppers Penguins. I decided to research about penguins. Penguins eat mainly fish but they will also eat squid, some shrimp like animals, and krill. Penguins can swim up to seven miles an hour. In Galapagos it is around 73 degrees Fahrenheit when in Antarctica wich is minus 58 degrees Fahrenheit. Emperor penguins are the largest.

At the begging of this part of Mr. Poppers Penguins, Mrs. Popper comes in as Captain Cook was being named. He was being named after an Arctic explorer. Then, Captain Cook started pecking at Mrs. Poppers leg so Mr.Popper thought that he must be hungry. Mr.Popper got many food serving choices but he went to the living room and got the gold fish. Last, Captain Cook made a cozy home in the fridge but Mr. Popper remembered that penguins make nest out of rocks so he put ice cubes under Captain Cook.

We are reading the book Mr.Popper's Penguins and today I am the quote collector here are some quotes.

One quote I found was on page 21 and paragraph 4: "When Janie ask what is his name papa? asked Janie." I picked that quote because it reminded me of trying to name my dog.

Another quote I found was on page 17 and paragraph 5: "When Mr.Popper lost no time in getting the screw driver." I picked that quote because it reminded me of when I got my new snow boots and how excited I was about opening the box.

At the beginning of the 3rd chapter in Mr. Poppers Penguins, Mr. Popper  is really excited to find out what Admiral Drake's surprise was going to be. After a while an express man came and Mr.popper got his box and opened it. This part of the book reminds me of a movie when someone wished for an otter pet and then it came in  a box. All About Adilynn's Life

Hi my name is Adilynn.  I am nine yeas old and I live in Iowa.  If you new me I would be very nice, kind, funny, and friendly.  I have a mom, dad, brother, and dog.  My dog is a Chiweenie.  His name is Bam Bam.  My mom's name is Brittany and my dad's name is Luke.  My brother's name is Aidan.  If you did know me I would be reading a lot of American Girl books.  Now you know about Adilynn.

Mrs. Velazquez's Fabulous Life

This is all about my life. I am a third grade teacher at Denison Elementary School. I love coming to work and seeing my students each and every day! In my free time, I like to watch Disney movies, play tennis, and make crafts with Leila while trying to keep Choko from making a mess. My husband loves to watch the Broncos, Spurs and San Francisco Giants play, so I spend a lot of time hearing all about these teams during dinner time. My family includes my husband (Reyes), my daughter (Leila), my son (Roy), and our chubby bulldog (Choko). Reyes works as a contractor during the days, Leila gets to spend her days in 3rd grade learning all sorts of new things, Roy hangs out with Mrs. Lorenzen while mom and dad are at work, and Choko naps all day until we all get home.
